'LE TEMPS D'UN MYOSOTIS'
This series has been realised at the retirement home of my grandmother, where she is now living after the death of my grandad. This triptych represents the loneliness of our elders, highlighting how difficult COVID-19 affected her life. For a long period of time, my dad could only drop groceries at the window, while my grandmother remained in isolation.
The nurse is the only person helping her through her daily life. The series explores the detachment between families in modern Western society and how with old age many people are left to fend for themselves. The pandemic allowed me to look at this part of my life and build on the bond I have with both my grandmother and father, allowing the three of us to connect through this body of work.
